Omschrijving: Clifford Possum was born in 1932 at the 'Napperby Station'. He started his carreer by carving snakes and goanna's in wood. During the years 1970 and 1980 Clifford was working in Papunya and Mbunghara. He lived in Alice Springs, where he was wellknown as the leader of the 'dot art painting movement'.
In the 1980's Clifford produced a lot of great paintings, that testify of an unbelievable inventivity qua design.
'The National Gallery of Australia', 'The National Gallery of Victoria' and 'The Pacific Asia Museum' in Los Angeles had taken his works in their collection.
Clifford Possum died in 2002.
After he dies, his paintings are sold at very huge prices.
