Omschrijving: Emily Kame was born in 1910 in Alalgura (Soakage Bore) in Utopia, northern Alice Springs. She describes her work as "being about everything" : "the whole lot". Emily's art is based on her intimate, deep and lifelong experience of the country where she lives. The link with her country is always present.
Emily is one of the greatest artists of Australia. Emily, she was 70 when she started painting on canvas, has made a great contribution to the Australian art. Her talent is praised everywhere. In 1992 she received the 'Australian Artists Creative Fellowship'. Her paintings are exhibited in all the greatest musea, national and international, like the 'National Gallery of Australia' and all the 'State Galleries'.
Ofter she died, her paintings got an inestimable value.
